Best Buns Bread Company opened in 1995. The bakery has one location which is next door to Carlyle in The Village at Shirlington. Best Buns bakes for all of the Great American Restaurants daily. Signature breads include mild poblano cheddar bread, olive, garlic and herb bread, and big city sour - sour dough used in Carlyle's bruschetta appetizer.

Their artisan bread is truly excellent. I love the fact that the baking area is so out in the open. It's just a fun place to eat after a long bike ride.

They are friendly, courteous, and efficient. They know their regular customers and go out of their way to learn their names and normal orders. Oh yeah, the food is great and so is the service.

Their selection of breads, rolls, and sweet baked goods is wonderful, plus they have fantastic sandwiches at lunchtime, and their cookies are to die for! They offer a boxed lunch that includes a sandwich, pasta salad, chips, and a cookie for $8.95! You can't beat that price and once you try them you won't want to go anywhere else.
