The day we got Isabel, our shelter rescue puppy, we brought her to Chateau-Animaux to equip her with everything she could possibly need - and kept going back. Since then, the staff have advised her - and us - through everything from accidental chocolate ingestion to doggy birthdays to car sickness to dry skin, with friendliness, style and panache. Three years later, she tugs at the leash every day to go to Chateau-Animaux - believe me, we would too!

C/A has the greatest selection of pet supplies. The store is attractive and well laid out. The sales people are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They inform the customers about new products; and, best of all, they deliver!My puppy loves the store because he gets treats and is allowed to browse the aisles.

Chateau-Animaux is to dogs as WholeFoods is to people. There is a wonderful vibe that encourages one to shop (not that it takes much encouragement to pamper my 4-legged best friend, who is also blind). I mentioned the blindness because, in addition to supplies, Chateau-Animaux offers "spa" services (self servicing and other). In the other category, hte "manicurist" was EXTREMELY careful/cautious when trimming my dog's nails (he is VERY sensitive). The front desk area is very helpful, courteous, and patient when responding to queries and providing suggestions based on one's needs. My dog especially enjoys the "cappucino" looking cookies (like owner like pet -- though his is probably more healthy for him than my own cappucino). Overall, great experience and worth the trip over the DC line. Added bonus, one can order their products online.!

They are very friendly and helpful. I can order on line or I can stop in because it is close to my home. They deliver and that is great! I don't drive and I like to buy food and litter in large quantities. The carry the best and still remain a neighborhood store. I like to stop in and just luck around if I feel like it. They have adoption days which I enjoy. I can go in and see homeless kitties because, I am thinking of adopting another kittiy.

They have, or can get, almost every top rated pet food, plus carry a vast array of supplies, from treats to collars and toe nail clippers! Great, knowledgable staff ++
